Hey guys, I'm new to the WP testers and after looking at all the new
features and changes for 2.0, I'm wondering how "user roles"
translate into the old user levels? Am I missing where that's
documented or am I just missing a link to the new documentation?
See below.
Also, just a comment, but on the "Write Post" and "Write Page" pages,
the neat little CSS collapsible post meta boxes are cool, but they
seem really distracting to the eye. ...
Try disabling JavaScript and see the outcome. I consider the way this is
handled to be extremely graceful. I hope it has the right effect on your
eyes too. You can specify scripting policies (e.g. JavaScript off) to just
the administration panel or install an alternative dashboard theme, if any
have been ported to version 2.0 yet.
... Are there plans to clean up the design of this? Does anyone else
share my sentiments? It just seems like the dark coloring of them
with the white spacing between really screws with my eyes and
distracts me from my goal: writing content.
I can't say I agree, but there is nothing to prevent you from changing the
colours in the code. Perhaps more people would indeed share your senti-
ments. I think it is the first time that greyscale was set aside and more
graphics got embedded in the page.

I believe this was only mentioned about 2 weeks ago. Ryan brought this up
in the wp-hackers if I recall correctly. There are some significant
changes, I believe, as roles and capabilities were revised.
In fact, let me just search...

Look at the thread at the top. It's an old one nonetheless.
Thank you kindly! Sorry to distract you guys with this, just hoping
to get up to speed as fast as possible. :-)
No-one is distracted, I hope. There are usually a few subscribers who dis-
courage high volume of messages as theyinclude minor questions, all of
which are posted to the mailing lists. That should be harmless if the
right filters/client gets used.
Best wishes,
