What's the policy on just fixing stuff (adding patches and whatnot) on Trac? Does one require a special status or something? I can't see anything that says so but I don't want to tread on anyone's toes; I've added a couple of patches lately and wanted to make sure I wasn't harming things.

Thanks :)

Hi Rob,

* Log in to trac.wordpress.org with your WordPress credentials (no need for
higher status)

* Select the ticket which corresponds to the bug (/suggestion) you hold a
patch for.

* You will be able to find a button called "Attach file". Attach a file(s)
containing the difference (diff) between the old version of the file(s) in
question and your proposed replacement(s). If in doubt, add a comment to
the discussion bit at the bottom.

* Your patch will be reviewed, so keep an eye on the ticket. Your feedback
may be needed.

Hope it helps,

Roy

I'm fine with the patching process itself, and with using Subversion and whatnot, I just didn't know whether or not it was kosher to just go ahead and submit them without "authorisation", for want of a better word.

Thanks!
