I just downloaded Barthelme from plaintxt.org and found this in the footer:

Sponsor: <a href="URL_REMOVED" title="New York City Flower
Delivery">New York City Flower Delivery</a>

Is this common in themes now? For people running theme directories,
what is your policy on themes that have ads in theme?

Personally I'm fine with a credit link, but I'd rather not have someone
else's ads in my theme any more than I'd put their Adsense code.

Good call, Matt. It's inappropriate in my eyes. I know you don't want to say how you truly feel about it, being the 'nice character'. I mean, you weren't even blunt when DRM messed about with your Windows PC.

Previously, it was the removal of WP credits from blogs that
had you bothered, as well as De Bernardy selling WordPress
(including modification of plugins without re-release,
disclosure, or collaboration with the original authors). I
think that policing WP in this way is nothing that should
leave you in an uncomfortable position, let alone have you
too shy to raise it.

Best wishes,

Roy
