Palm and Security

I am slightly concerned that information entered into Palm handhelds is
never secure, even if password is used to flag entries as <Private>. All the
data is saved locally on the HDD and it is locally readable. There is no
encryption as one would hope for. This also means that if somebody else got
hold, in whatever way, of my device, then a quick HotSync would expose all
the sensitive data.

Am I missing something?
