First remove all the unnecessary programs from Start->Programs->Startup

Then, go to msconfig again.

use the following to guide for removal:

http://www.3feetunder.com/krick/startup/list.html

Works like a charm, one for the bookmarks. Also, 'defrag' might help speed,
though I'm not certain about it.
