I am only worried because I have outdated mirrors where my sites used to
reside. I set up re-direction, but they cannot be assigned to all files, of
which there are thousands. If I remove that mirror, bookmarks will break. I
just hope Google can interpret the re-directions and realise that a
migration is/was in progress.

I agree with you on the signature part, but I think it can add clutter and
rub a few readers the wrong way (not necessarily in this group).
