With Linux, It usually takes just hours to plug a hole and
release a patch. It is tremendously easier when the code is
modular, so testing is not awkward and complex. For the same
reason, it is unlikely to result in breakage (side-effects)
-- these which have become endemic (almost a sure bet) in
Windows, for example.
