Ever since WGA was introduced*, whenever I approach a Windows machine I can't
help thinking about it as some form of a spying appliance. Whatever you do
gets recorded. With IE7, even pages you visit will reside in Microsoft's
datacentres (for good!). And the DoJ has access to these. Data retention at
the ISP's side is peanuts in comparison.
