What seemed odd to me when I initially read this is the fact that, if I
recall correctly, the site existed a month or two ago (yuck, pardon the bas
sentence). I probably have that domain in my signature rotation, too.
However, Netscraft still describes it as a new, previously-unseen site. I
suppose there might be a similar domain name that serves a similar purpose.
It would not be surprising. A similar domain name was responsible for
getting Firefox a 15%+ market share. It was adverts in people's sites that
raised awareness. But Web browser upgrades are a smaller (and thus less
intimidating) steps than a whole platform.
