I suppose it's rational to assume that computers running Windows have a lot
of RAM to spare (and for OpenOffice to drain/leak). I'm doing just fine with
512 MB at work and 256 MB at home. Running KDE with many applications open
in multiple workspaces. There is no doubt when it comes to memory
consumption: Windows XP is a hog. Vista will be much worse.
