S&P Raises Rating on Red Hat to 'B+'

| The ratings agency said it lifted its ratings on the Raleigh,
| N.C.-based company to "B+" from "B" to reflect improved
| profitability, operating leverage and financial profile. S&P's
| outlook on Red Hat is positive.

| "The ratings reflect a narrow business profile, modest scale relative
| to other software companies, rapid technology evolution, and still
| high leverage," said Standard & Poor's credit analyst Stephanie Crane
| in a statement.

| The agency added that these concerns are partly offset by a positive
| cash flow and a "significant growth in demand" for the company's Linux-
| based operating systems, among other things.
