Maybe that's why. :-) Halo, after all, has no Linux
client either (although one can attempt to run it under
Cedega).
(Apparently this is a popular question; the first 7 entries
from a search for "Halo Linux" on Google deal with variants
of the question "Hey, can Halo run on Linux?")
For its part http://www.ryzom.org/ wants to free Ryzom
from the unfortunate bankruptcy of Nevrax. Apparently
one of the reasons for the bankruptcy was the fact that the
game isn't as popular as some others -- World of Warcraft,
the topmost entry, has over 6,600,000 subscribers.
Interestingly, Runescape placed fourth, with 781776 subscribers.
Since Runescape can be placed using a Java applet, Linux
has no problem with it.
(For that matter, OpenOffice had no problem displaying
the spreadsheet offered by http://www.mmorpgchart.com/ .)
We shall see.

Linux. Because it's there and it works.
Windows. It's there, but does it work?
