Great, yet ANOTHER not-invented-here project trying to do the same thing as
other existing projects.  What's wrong with SDL for instance?
SDL is aimed at computers, OpenKode is aimed at Phones & PDAs.
Then it's not really an alternative to DirectX, is it?
Nope.

The article does say it offers features similar to DirectX, but doesn't say it's an alternative.

It says so in the title.
