I don't see Google ever becoming a real threat to Microsoft, even though 
there's much speculation about this. People simply do not want or desire web 
versions of Office or Outlook. The reaons are two-fold: if a service 
provider goes broke then you will lose access to your corporate data and 
secondly there will always be some small print in the license which says 
that they're not responsible for loss or breach of data.

Aside from that, web applications are simply unsuitable for many jobs such 
as graphic and video editiing, games etc.
