Mark is completely out of touch with what people actually want in the
real world. Are those HD TVs in each room (most consumers don't even
have one HD TV yet, let along one in each room)? If not, no need for
Blu-Ray. All you need is DVD. For less than the cost of a PS3, you can
easily put together an AMD64 system with a TV tuner, twice the RAM of
the PS3, 7.1 surround sound, a bigger hard disk, and a decent video card
for gaming. That system will easily outperform the PS3 for general
purpose computing tasks (you know, the kind of things you do on a
computer, as opposed to on a gaming console).
