Roy, you mentioned no more wine but it seems that Google is using wine
to "port" their apps to Linux. Instead of reimplementing everything
using Linux native code, it seems that they will just be doing a little
work to package their existing program with wine so that it will
install and run effortlessly.

Personally, I found it interesting that Google was going this route.
I'm wondering if there was something specific about their
implementation of Picasa that was holding them back from trying to port
the application completely.

Still, I suppose it will be interesting to see how the app runs once
they get it ported.
