Great site Roy - thanks.
After teasing my DSL install on a USB stick
to also run Knoppix 5.0.2 CD edition 700Mb from my 2GB USB
stick, I still have over 1Gb left and you have shown
me the perfect set of apps that I need to carry on the USB stick.
The 2Gb have come down in price are only about 23 pounds from ebuyer.com.
The 4Gb is 50 pounds or thereabouts - and in a few days
I hope to be running many more distros and portable apps
off a 4Gb stick....

Now that you mention it, portable apps seem a great way
to go with a lot of milage.
Imaging plugging a USB stick into your mobile and running
Open Office. Or even a complete virtual PC...
