I can't see the resemblance to GNOME. Still, GNOME's
hardware requirements were not so steep either. There will
be too little to compel loyal customers to opt for an early
upgrade, which could elevate revenues. Microsoft knows this,
but little can be done at this stage. Office poses similar
problems, if not worse. And the recent severe
vulnerabilities (more latterly PowerPoint) will have people
look sideways, toward OOo migrations.
