This could have some very significant implications for package
management across different distros. If it really is as capable as is
being claimed, then it could be possible, not only to pull packages from
eg., multiple different debian-based distributions (as I can now), but
in fact, from pretty much any distribution based on debian, slack or
red-hat. Of course, this could open up a whole new can of
interoperability issues, but maybe that's no bad thing.
