This whole thing to the EU is nothing more than punishing an American
company that is far more successful than any European software company.

The EU just can't stand that it was America who invented the
transistor, the microchip; they can't stand that the most successful
CPU company is all American (Intel), and that the brains is mostly from
MS (also American). (Never mind the chipsets that Intel has the
majority share of, or even graphics chips (onboard) that Intel ships
most of to the world)... the list goes on.

So, the only way for the EU to fight back is to SUE the competition
just like MS' competitors do when they also can not compete.

This isn't about whether MS broke the EU 'law' or not (notice that OSX
and all Linux variants can ship media players but NOT Windows), also
notice that this is mostly about server protocols that IBM and Oracle
(the companies that complained) have absolutely NO intention on using
even if the so called MS docs were 'easy to read and understand'.

This is all about politics and the EU jealousy of the American
companies that for *right now*, are ahead of their EU counterparts in
almost every way.

This is about anti-American feelings in Europe. This is about
politics.

In no way will the remedies help MS competitors compete with MS. Open
Source is doing that without the EU's help.

The EU is actually *helping* MS' competition. (In other words, to beat
MS any way they can - even if it means suing them.)

Yes I know *legally* and *technically* the EU is 'enforcing' the 'law',
but you and I both know that this is a tax on the successful American
company.

Don't they know that MS will just recover these fines from high prices
(that Europeans will have to pay as well?)

Sorry EU, but you are going to have to compete with *skills* and
*knowledge* and **HARD WORK** that you don't seem willing to do. You'd
rather sit in your little court offices and sue away.

Well go ahead! I'll still be buying what I need to get the job done -
and that currently is *Microsoft Windows*
