Another method which I find useful is ShipIt (free shipping, also see
http://free.thelinuxstore.ca/ for OpenSUSE, Dedora, Mandriva, Gentoo, Debian,
Knoppix and more). the LiveCD's are winners.
Some addons allow 3-D to interact with laptop sensors, which is nice (e.g.
physically whack the side to flip/rotate the cube). This makes Vista's 'flip
mode' look like yesterday's tech. And Vista will not even be out until 2007,
with many perils (code- and security-wise) ahead.
