I wasn't aware of the above limitation. Having more than 1 blog per
user for each domain is not something I want to implement, so this
shouldn't be an issue for me. My reason for using subdomains is to keep
closely related content on separate subdomains.

WordPress is great blogging software but I'm not looking to replace my
CMS. Drupal already does everything I want and need it too and it's
very easy to modify from a coding perspective. I just haven't chosen
the best way to set it up.

If it was a question about symlinks and 302 redirects then yes that was
