The original post was deceiving. The content should have gone along the lines
of "I am not happy with my position in the SERP's", unless I am missing
something. SERP's (ranks) are indeed affected by Google's 'errors' (or
sufficiently good SPAM-handling mechanisms... lack thereof).

Cutts said that affiliated links that get crammed at the bottom will either
get you penalised or be ignored.

For those of us who look at the subject line for 'zeitgeist', a good title
can help. Sorry if this sounds like policing. It's intended to be a friendly
suggestion.
