You mean they will *actually* implement tools that are self-defensive?
According to what I have read for months, Internet Explorer 7 and its
accomplices will remain insecure, deliver ActiveX controls and leave the
customer* exposed.

My mind boggles. Bill Gates promised the end of spam on several occasions. I
sure know he has the ability to stop it. Since 80% of spam is sent from
compromised Windows boxes, all it takes is securing the O/S. And yet,
several years after the initial promises, there is no sign of abatement.

Reality check: despite effort and several years 'on duty', Microsoft is
unable to control its beasts -- to control their Frankenstein zombies.

* That which refuses or is unaware of Mozilla, Opera, Safari and the likes of
them (not to mention GNI/Linux).
