Any IP which is concerned with the process of development (general-purpose
algorithms in particular) ought to be perceived as a shamble. It will not
hold in court, but I suppose that Red Hat, being a commercial distribution,
fear the worst. No more. Hindering the competition using IP is adverse to
rationale. Should we also patent the idea of crawling the Web, then offering
summary and links for a given query through a search phrase?
