Depending on the filesystem they use, also have a look at:
* http://p-nand-q.com/download/rfstool.html
* http://yareg.akucom.de/index.html#DOWNLOAD
Back in the days, the former (the latter if a .NET front end) helped me
fetching files from a Linux partition and pass them onto Windows 2000.
