Have a look at the following article [1], which I believe was publishedlast
night. It only re-iterates something I once read in an interview with an
Intel executive [2].
Their main challenge remains the Open Source laptop (AKA the "$100 laptop"),
which uses AMD chips and is expected to see 300-500 million units
manufactured within the next 2 years.
Intel came up with the $400 equivalent [3] quite recently. They boast its
ability to run a FOSS O/S, namely Linux.
