Oregon is known as (one of) the State and home of much of Open Source. OSDL
is there and even SCO is nearby. Oregon's technology is highly valuable to
Google who, over the years, capitalised on it. Moreover, they have some
decent infrastructure and bandwidth.
By the way, I posted that link in a nother group this morning, but the
