One big change I've noticed is with network streams running simultaneously.
For example, with 10.0, if I were doing an azureus download, and trying to
surf the web, pull down email, read usenet, the other processes would
suffer (even if I set my azureus up and down bandwidth to a maximum of
1/4th of my 768up/233down kbps DSL line).
Now, with 10.1, as long as there is bandwidth, everything runs smoothly --
simultaneously. Don't know what magic they did (better threading on
network i/o ?) but it sure works a whole lot better!
