What, you really thought /Novell/ would bear the royalty?
They'll do precisely what other companies do: pass the costs on to the
consumer, and keep the savings for themselves.
Endgame: Novell are likely to lose out in the long run as Linux hunters are
going to pretty much ignore SLED/SLES as a desktop/server solution (unless
they have a real stiffy for it) because it's going to get bloody expensive.
