There's also the powerful second-hand gear that won't be able to run Vista
and thus be passed to Linux folks (clusters?) for (vitually) zero cost.

Motorola intends to power most of its mobiles using Linux. With PC's at $99
(also OLPC) and cellphones at $15 (or less), can uncrippled Windows still be
sold for US$400 and Office for up to US$1150? Cash cows are headed for the
slaughterhouse.
