"Opens up to Open Source"? The only thing Microsoft opens is its rectum. It's
covert ops. The plan: first hurt Red Hat with patent FUD. Then, Novell gets
trashed. Reality check: community distros will never be hurt; Novell has
just driven away many of its customers to Red Hat (sysadmins understand the
situation very well, unlike management); SCO is officially finished,
according to and due to yesterday's disclosure from Ransom Love. The only
winners are Red Hat, who have already taken advantage of the
Novell-Microsoft pact (articles to support this exist). Oracle is another
matter while IBM and H-P refuse to alienate their customers and sack their
integrity/values. Canonical strides strong. Google and many other forces
(even Sun) have got Microsoft surrounded.
There are too many rivals. The little nibble at the top <

competitive advantage.
Best wishes,
Roy
PS - An act of desparation is one where the a defender attempts to bribe its
enemy. We all know how it goes down, eventually... sinners will be sinners.
