The breakdown of trust is one of the major goals from Microsoft's deal
with Novell. The problem is, I agree with the above; if Novell are
willing to agree to a deal such as they did, they will surely be willing
to sneak in code which they know is full a patent-based pitfalls and
caltrops.


Trust is certainly broken here.


Just like when Caldera bought out SCO. And their campaign failed. I can see M$ trying to muscle IBM with their AIX/Linux series. But the whole thing will fail miserably.
