If you feel mischivious:

Add "site:yoursite" to the query, append the search phrase.

Then, spew out the results in (x)HTML form, rather than RSS (many free tools
to translate RSS in this way exist). This would require some server-side
programming, but shouldn't be cumbersome. Additionally, you get your
favoured layout/template.
