IBM has abstained from becoming a direct distributer/developer
of Linux in order to preserve its public image. I suspect
it helped (financially) Novell's acquisition of SuSE. Other
potential developers: Google and Canonical. IBM is due
to support Red Flag Linux, IIRC. Could this be a rapid
industrialisation of Linux...? Might as well get the shirt:
