The thing that interests me is how the OIT responds in terms of rules and
regulations limiting access non-Windows computers.   With so many macs
needing service, I would think they could not impose very restrictive
rules.   Hence, a student running Linux could not as easily be barred from
those same services.

In many ways, Apple is a beachhead, paving the way for the eventual entry of
Linux.
