Admittedly, Sun Solaris is being replaced.

That said, data/identity theft (e.g. university server in the hands of
crackers for over a year) is the effect of mission-critical systems (or
ones that hold sensitive information) getting hijacked. Acquisition and
maintenance costs aside...
