Open-Xchange VMWare appliance (a self contained bootable virtual PC image
file) available free at www.vmware.com
Its all set up - no need to install at all - just minimize the vmware window
after booting up.
Its a debian install with smtp, imap, ldap and pgsql.
When it boots up, you can log into it from your web browser from
network or your own PC. From a browser, enter http://ipaddress
where IP address is displayed at startup time when
the virtual PC boots or you can obtain by entering ifconfig on the
virtual PC's console)
Then you are presented with a fantastic group ware type email, calendar,
contacts, tasks, documents, forum, pinboard etc system - all web based
and all free. Unbelievable quality.
Once you have learned the groupware, you can install it to a real PC
and get all its benefits. Or if you have a powerful PC, then why
not continue to use it in VMware as a virtual appliance all the time.
