My belief is that new computer customers will love Vista and gleefully
accept it as they have done with every version of Windows since 3.1. A
Never-say-die COLA fan may tell himself over and again that "hordes of
Windows users [could] make the move over to Linux", but that is just
plain silly. Windows users faced with some imagined incompatiblity or
otherwise unable to make a business case for updating XP to Vista may
choose to stay with XP until some future date when a new computer is
purchased, but no one is likely to run out and start using linux
because of a problem with obtaining Vista.
