To delete an application, go to the home screen, tap the menu symbol or
the top of the screen, and choose "Delete". To delete a data file used
by a particular application, you can usually delete it from within that
application. Or you can use "Filez" (find it at freewarepalm.com) to
delete any file.

Just don't erase applications in this way. It's good for deleting
'leftovers'.
I did just try Filez and it can only delete apps.
It had interior and exterior listed.Exterior being the card
when you open interior, it does show all the files but will not
allow you to delete any of them.
So still have the same problem.

There must be some lock on the file. It could be a system file that is in use or one which is protected. Which one/s are you attempting to purge? Where (e.g. which appliaction) did it come from (if any)?

Best wishes,

Roy

Thanks to all for their imput...Filez did work as you said
the next time I tried it...don't know why it wouldn't do that before.
Oh well, all is fine now.
