Linux users invite IT buffs to explore FOSS

| According to a press release software freedom day is a global
| grassroots effort to educate the public about FOSS. FOSS refers to
| software which allows freedom of use and freedom to change and
| distribute. This means that the software allows users to change, upgrade
| and modify programmes. The release said there is a range of FOSS for
| different purposes: from Mozilla Firefox for browsing the internet, the
| Linux Operating System and the Open Office productivity application
| which provides word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database
| functions at no cost.
