Oliver,
You know. I know. And everyone here in COLA knows why some people here
"disapprove" of your posts. It is not because you've made false
statements or because you are wrong.
There is one reason and one reason only. Because you "challenge" the
twisted half-truths that some people post here instead of spewing lies
about Microsoft and making ridiculous claims about Linux.
Examples... It is very often posted here how XBox360 is being sold at a
loss and how absolutely terrible this is that Microsoft is doing this.
Well.... it's quite ironic (and hypocritical) that when these same
people harp about how great the PS3 will be (more like "might be"
because it's not even released yet) it is never mentioned that Sony
will be taking a LARGER LOSS on the PS3 than MS takes on the XBox360.
Another example... If you, Eric, Hadron or anyone else posts something
to correct or clarify a blatantly wrong or misleading post then you
will be either labled a troll, called or liar or something similar. But
take Rexx for example. Since Rexx trumpets himself and Linux at every
post he can make completely ridiculous claims (Linux has 80%
marketshare, MSFT can make you sign an NDA that forbids you from EVER
writing OSS software, Dell loses money on every system it sells, etc,
etc) then there are very, very few Linux advocates who will call him on
his ridiculous exagerations and lies.
