Micoshaft Terminates Novel Deal
===============================

For Immediate Press Release:

Redmond, WA.

Dated 30/03/2007

Micoshaft has announced it is terminating Novel deal
with immediate effect and demanded all its money back.

Ron Hoosepien is reported to have reacted angrily
to this unexpected termination calling micoshaft's balding
chairmain a 'woman' and he started throwing chairs around
the room imitating a person called blammer employed by micoshaft.

The bombshell appears to have been ignited in a twist
of patent action when NOVEL tried to assert one
of its OWN patents AGAINST Micoshaft.

In a twist of fate, when that action failed,
Novel then tried to assert
its patent against micoshaft developers.

Gropelaw covered the lawsuit and points out that micoshaft
developers are not technically micoshaft customers
that should be sued by Novel. However it condemned
micoshaft's inaction and doing nothing about Novel
patent lawsuit as predatory and reactionary because it could be.

Ron Hoosepian appears to have initiated these series of
actions on learning that micoshaft has dedicated
vast amounts of internal resources and subcontrators
to develop own version of GNU/Linux which was a variant of Puppy Linux

Internal memos show the Novel deal was overpaid for, and it would have
been better spent making own Linux distro.
Both Novel and Micoshaft knew this, but they went ahead
with this deal hoping other developers would be suckered
into becoming satellite companies owned by micoshaft and
Novel. But that seems to have back fired by the reactions
of the community, in particular the immininent introduction
of GPL3 which could change the landscape of open source forever.

Ron Hoosepian appears to targetted his lawsuit
against micoshaft developers in a reverse SCO$ style
hair brained scheme to let micoshaft
buy out Novel eventually when Novel go bankrupt.
