They don't make software, they _buy_ software (see below). And they haven't
consciousness.

Microsoft has redefined and reshaped the business world not only by
introducing and making popular those /walls/ such as software patents, which
peril rivalry. They have also shown that expansion through acquisition is
the way to go. The public's resistance to companies like Walmart is the only
thing keeping the world from sinking into a state of suppressive oligopoly.
And while elected government is nothing but a puppet to corporate power,
there's no stopping of this madness.
