It has become much easier to convince people to install Linux. The waves
Ubuntu has been making (Mandriva 2007 Spring Release was lost in the noise)
escape nobody. If they hear a lot about it, they conclude that it must be in
fashion. It was harder to convence people in the past.
Dell, Oracle and even Microsoft's highly-visble paranoia are great validation
factor. Just mention them and voila! Linux gets respect. Call it a free (and
Free) Mac, not a Windows alternative.
