Despite your usual shoot the messenger and ignore the message way,
regardless of his loyalties, he does raise a valid point. No major OEM can
survive by strictly selling hardware. The margins are too thin. They
survive by offering higher margin add-ons and through trial-ware contracts.
Selling machines with Linux, without opportunity for other upsells wouldn't
give them enough margin to survive.
