New kernel I imagine. That is about the only thing that requires
a reboot in Linux anymore. Even most drivers can be loaded and
unloaded on the fly.
I'm glad to hear that your upgrade went smoothly. I've been itching
to upgrade as well but will probably wait until I'm not in the middle
of a big development project. The girlfriend will likely not wait
that long. She is only holding off a few days until the repositories
are not taking such a beating from the new release.
They really should make it so you can bitorrent the upgrade files
just like a full release. Perhaps give each newly upgraded or
installed system the option to act as a seed... integrate it into
the package management system even. That would certainly fit with
the community nature of Linux. :)
