No. It runs on top of a modified Mach kernel, using modified BSD userland
apps. And it is different from any other unix in existance, both in
configuration as well as app switches.
Just *try* to run your fine set of scripts working well on BSD, unix and
linux. The wailing and cursing will be heard half over the ocean
