Yes, good point. Several months ago, Pam depressingly said that Microsoft
expects people to honour their rule, but they mock the very existence (even in
spirit) of the GPL, which it calls "a cancer".
Microsoft should be prepared to realise that although it controls the United
States government, it is not yet the lawmakers. It is not fit to decide what
is legitimate and what is not.
The FSF could get financial backing. Based on the word from the FSF (Peter
Brown too, I suspect), this step was coming. They must have been preparing
this case for quite some time.
