Out of 1 billion desktops (worldwide)? Or 100 million (US only)?
One might get 0.035% in the latter case.
Granted, that was not at all the purpose of this survey.
Clearly, however, one can count at least this many
respondents as Linux users -- and furthermore as Linux
users sufficiently motivated to take such surveys, flawed
as they might otherwise be (it's a self-selecting affair,
which is *always* suspect -- and fortunately they do
mention that in the article below).
